Bovet Launches Two New Bejewelled Récital 23 Moon Phase Watches for Women

The dial is and will always be the face of a watch; it sets the tone for a wearer keen to buy a timepiece. To help consumers enjoy some sort of an emotional connection with watches, brands have started to experiment with colours, sophisticated materials, and textures. Guilloché is one texture that has been winning hearts over centuries. Using this very technique of ensuring finesse, Bovet has released two new Récital 23 timepieces with moon phase complications on two dial options — one in vibrant green and the other in baby blue.

This piece of Haute Horlogerie runs on a high-watchmaking self-winding manufacture 11DA17-MP movement, which comes equipped with 22k gold, hand-engraved micro-rotors to power the time-teller for up to 62 hours.

It seems that Bovet has perfected the art of blending fashion with fine watchmaking. To accentuate the beauty of a watch, using the finest precious stones is perfectly acceptable. These nuances are genuinely and very thoughtfully deployed, keeping in mind a modern woman’s perspective. Diamonds can be delicious embellishments to a case, designed for reading and wearing comfort.

The RÉCITAL 23 is the first BOVET women's timepiece to feature the “writing slope” case that features a diamond bezel, diamond dial markers, and diamond

Each of the 43 mm watches comes with an 18 ct red gold “writing desk” slope case, lugs, and an onion crown. The case is set with 174 round-cut diamonds while the bezel gets 72 diamonds. The off-set dial is chiselled and then layered with lacquer with 10 diamond hour markers and uniquely shaped hour and minute hands. The moon phase at 12 o’clock is hand-engraved and is read via the 3D circular aperture. This complication can be adjusted via a pusher incorporated in the blue sapphire cabochon of the crown. The stones do not interfere with time reading. These are there only for aesthetic pleasure.

The 22K rotor is lovingly hand-engraved with the “Fleurisanne” design.

Powering the Bovet Récital 23 Moon Phase watches is the self-winding in-house movement with 62 hours of power reserve. Turning each watch over showcases the sapphire caseback with a 22 ct gold oscillating weight with the Fleurisanne motif. Each of the watches is finished on a green alligator strap or a blue skin lizard strap with an 18 ct red gold Ardillon buckle. Even though the Bovet Récital 23 Moon Phase watch has a water resistance of 30 metres, it is better to not make this piece of art withstand any demanding aquatic leisure activity.
