Hublot Presents the Latest High Jewellery Avatar of its Classic Fusion

The latest addition to Hublot’s High Jewellery collection presents a bejewelled version of a true Hublot icon: the Classic Fusion. Cased in 18 ct white gold and embellished with baguette-cut diamonds, the Classic Fusion High Jewellery 42 mm (Ref. 543.WX.9004.LR.9904) seamlessly fits into the High Jewellery collection that boasts other iconic models, such as the Big Bang, the Spirit of Big Bang, and the Square Bang Unico, featuring white gold, diamonds, and even rainbow-coloured gemstones.

The 431 diamonds of the timepiece weight approximately 14.6 carats

The dazzling timepiece retains the original contours of the Classic Fusion that dates back to 1980 while incorporating unique expressions of high jewellery. The 431 baguette-cut diamonds—amounting to approximately 14.6 carats—adorn the case, the bezel, the dial and the clasp. The precision and finesse with which the diamonds have been incorporated into the timepiece showcase the master gemsetters’ dedication to their craftsmanship. The white gold dial alone sports 241 diamonds that took 120 hours of meticulous work. Setting the 60 additional diamonds around the bezel was no easy feat either.

The dial sports a whopping 241 diamonds whose setting required 120 hours

The Classic Fusion High Jewellery is powered by the HUB1710 calibre, visible to the wearer through the sapphire glass upon turning the watch. The self-winding movement oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz, offering a power reserve of around 50 hours. The black rubber-lined alligator strap effortlessly complements the sparkling case; the titanium deployant buckle also flaunts 36 baguette-cut diamonds. In the words of CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, “This wonderfully radiant piece celebrates an icon of the Maison. The jeweller’s artistic creativity and our watchmaking expertise intertwine to create a work of art that is both a watch and a jewel.” With over 200 hours spent on the setting of all 431 diamonds, the timepiece, indeed, is an exceptional showcase of the brand’s ability to combine watchmaking excellence with jewellery artisanship.
