Vacheron Constantin Debuts a Quartz Movement in the New Overseas Timepiece

Denim blue dial watches offer a unique and stylish aesthetic, combining the classic, casual look of denim with the sophistication of a timepiece. Denim blue dials can vary in texture and hue; some may mimic the look of denim fabric with a subtle, textured pattern, while others may simply use the characteristic blue shade associated with denim. The colours can range from light to dark blue, often with a matte finish.

Wearers can find denim blue dials in various watch styles, including those of dress watches, casual watches, sports watches, and even diver's watches. After introducing its 35 mm pink gold Overseas timepiece last year, Vacheron Constantin has now introduced a quartz movement (Ref. 1225V/200R-H015), making a debut in the collection for the year 2024. The watch gets a translucent, denim blue-lacquered, sunburst, satin-finished dial, with a base and a velvet-finished, external, white minutes track.

As part of the triumvirate of luxury sports watches born in the 1970s, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection fulfils all the prerequisites of the genre. Introduced in 1996, the Overseas collection embraces the technical and sport-y side of fine watchmaking. The structural design of the watches, with its naturally elegant and clean lines, takes up the contemporary theme of travel. The Overseas collection is known for its stylish and sophisticated design, which is suitable for both casual and formal occasions. These watches often feature distinctive bezels, inspired by the Maltese cross, which is Vacheron Constantin's logo. As with all Vacheron Constantin watches, the Overseas models are made with high-quality materials and flaunt meticulous craftsmanship. They often feature fine finishes and elaborate detailing.

The new 33 mm pink gold Vacheron Constantin Quartz Overseas timepiece comes with integrated lugs, a pink gold screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, and a Maltese cross bezel, set with 78 brilliant-cut diamonds. There are pink gold applied hour markers, and hour and minute hands on the dial, all highlighted with blue Super-LumiNova®; a pink gold central seconds hand is seen as well. There is a white background, black numeral date window at 3 o’clock, with a pink gold border.

Powering the watch is Calibre 1207, which is Vacheron Constantin’s quartz movement. Turning the watch over showcases the closed pink gold caseback with a central star. The new Overseas Quartz model is delivered on a pink gold, half Maltese cross-shaped, polished, and satin-brushed bracelet, secured by a pink gold triple blade folding clasp with push pieces and a comfort-adjustment system. There are two additional straps: a denim blue calfskin leather strap with tone-on-tone stitches, and a denim blue rubber strap that comes with a pink gold buckle and an interchangeable system, which is compatible with both additional straps.
