A Cosmic Debut: NORQAIN’s Wild ONE Meteorite Lights Up Dubai Watch Week

As Dubai Watch Week enters its third day, all eyes are on one of the fair’s most anticipated unveilings: the NORQAIN Wild ONE Meteorite 42mm Special Edition. Limited to just 300 pieces for 2025, the watch makes its official public debut in the presence of founder and CEO Ben Küffer and Vice President Toby Küffer, and it’s already generating the kind of buzz collectors take seriously.
The release is bold, visually arresting, and rooted in NORQAIN’s ongoing pursuit of high-performance innovation. Since its launch in 2022, the Wild ONE collection has stood apart for its engineering concept. A 25-component case constructed from NORTEQ, the ultra-light, highly shock-resistant carbon-fibre material, was developed exclusively with BIWI (a Swiss company specialising in rubber, plastic, and silicone). Created in collaboration with industry icon Jean-Claude Biver, the Wild ONE has long been seen as one of the most exciting modern sports watch platforms. This new edition takes that reputation further.
At the centre of the story is the dial. Crafted from authentic iron meteorite, it gives the watch an almost hypnotic presence on the wrist. Each surface tells its own cosmic history through the natural Widmanstätten pattern, formed over millions of years as metallic asteroids cooled in deep space. No two dials are alike, which gives this model something collectors covet: perfect unpredictability. On the wrist, the meteorite catches light in shifting, textured waves that feel both raw and refined, making the watch instantly different from anything in NORQAIN’s current lineup.
The 42mm burgundy NORTEQ case frames the dial with a rich contrast that feels contemporary and adventurous. It remains lightweight, grippy, comfortable, and deliberately built for real-world wear. The engraved burgundy NORTEQ plate on the left side of the case can be personalised with initials or a date, a detail that adds emotional value for collectors who appreciate meaningful customisation.
Flip the watch over and the open caseback, fitted with a scratch-proof flat sapphire crystal, reveals the COSC-certified NORQAIN Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 by Kenissi. The inscription “Special Edition, Meteorite” reinforces the rarity without overstating it.
For collectors, the appeal is clear. This release brings together a serious movement, a proven high-tech case architecture, and a dial material that carries literal cosmic origin. Paired with NORQAIN’s rising stature among independent brands, the Wild ONE Meteorite Special Edition delivers a blend of performance and storytelling that stands out at Dubai Watch Week — and will almost certainly disappear fast.
