IWC’s Formula 1 Simulator Arrives in India

Speed has a new address in India, and it begins at Jio World Plaza. After making its first appearance at Geneva Watch Days in April 2025, IWC Schaffhausen’s global #IWCRacing Formula 1 Simulator experience has now shifted gears and arrived in Mumbai, marking its India debut in collaboration with the country’s premier retailer, Art of Time.
The experience replicates the raw reality of F1, a sport driven by split-second reactions and peak vigilance. Fresh off its buzzworthy debut at Watches and Wonders 2025, IWC is taking its curated world of motorsport engineering to an even broader global audience. And with Formula 1 witnessing wide popularity in India — from fan communities to race-weekend viewership spikes — the timing of this experience couldn’t be more fitting.
Adrenaline Surge in the Atrium
Set at the main atrium of Jio World Plaza, the pop-up invites visitors to strap into a high-performance racing cockpit and chase lap times that mimic the tension and thrill of a real circuit. The Simulator delivers the full hit of torque, vibration, and velocity, turning each steering correction into a visceral rush. For speed lovers, this isn’t just a display; it’s the closest one can get to the track without suiting up. After Mumbai, the activation will arrive in Bengaluru and New Delhi, giving motorsport fans across the country a chance to experience IWC’s world of precision and competitive spirit.
This travelling expo sits at the heart of a broader narrative — IWC’s deep and evolving relationship with motorsport. The brand has long built watches engineered for professionals who live by snap decisions, including Formula 1 racers and world-class pilots. Along with this, the pop-up also features a curated selection of IWC’s Pilot’s Watches that were worn by F1 film characters:
Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Edition “Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team”
Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team
Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41
Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 APXGP
Pilot’s Automatic APXGP
But the story doesn’t end here. IWC’s approach to motorsport also flows through its stories collections like the Ingenieur, which continues with its latest Automatic 40, rendered in a new green grid-patterned dial. Born of a bespoke design for Brad Pitt’s character, this timepiece speaks to those who appreciate refined technique and purposeful design of serious tool watches. It embodies the same spirit of resilience and precision that defines Formula 1 engineering.
Why Speed Lovers Shouldn’t Miss This
Racing, at its core, is a test of instinct and timing, the very mindset that seamlessly flows into IWC’s mechanical watches. For anyone who thrives on speed, this Simulator captures a synergy that’s at once immediate, tactile, and thrillingly intimate. Visitors can chase records, feel the pressure of each turn, and then step out to discover the machines that map time accurately.
For India’s growing community of motorsport enthusiasts, this pop-up is more than a showcase ― it’s a celebration of racing, embodying the shared pulse between engineering and emotion.
