TAG Heuer Marks Zandvoort’s Final Lap in Style

As the Dutch Grand Prix™ takes its final bow at Circuit Zandvoort, TAG Heuer has unveiled a pair of limited-edition timepieces that capture the intensity of this coastal track. The two new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph models, both in a refined 38mm format, pay tribute to a circuit where precision and commitment are non-negotiable.
Zandvoort, the coastal circuit that hosts the Dutch Grand Prix, presents a unique challenge to drivers. Its narrow layout and banked corners leave little margin for error, while the ever-changing North Sea winds can alter the course of a race in mere moments. The track’s design keeps spectators close to the action, the grandstands transforming into a vibrant sea of orange that ebbs and flows with the roar of the engines. As the circuit prepares for its final Formula 1 race, TAG Heuer sought to encapsulate this electrifying atmosphere.
The result is a focused design that draws directly from the original 1986 TAG Heuer Formula 1. The 38mm sandblasted steel case sits with purpose on the wrist, its matte finish absorbing light in a nod to the world of motorsport. The grey opaline dial sets a serious tone, punctuated by an orange and red flange with a 60-second/minute scale, a composition that prioritises clarity, with each element contributing to a clear reading of time.

The red lacquered applied indexes and hands, filled with eggshell Super-LumiNova®, ensure readability in all conditions. At 3 o’clock, the date window is positioned cleanly within the composition. The bidirectional bezel, crafted from TH-Polylight, frames the watch with the iconic daisy motif, its rotation precise and deliberate, reinforcing the connection to timing that defines the Formula 1 line.
But it’s the Solargraph movement, Caliber TH50-00, that really sets these editions apart. A one-minute exposure to direct sunlight powers the watch for an entire day, while a full charge, reached in under 40 hours of light exposure, delivers up to ten months of autonomy in total darkness, a virtually unlimited energy source that keeps pace with the demands of the track.
The first edition (ref. WBY111H.FT8128), limited to 1,500 pieces, comes paired with an orange rubber strap and a steel pin buckle engraved with the TAG Heuer logo. The second (ref. WBY111L.BA0042), limited to 1,000 pieces, features a sandblasted steel three-row bracelet with a folding clasp, double safety push-buttons, and an adjustment link extension. Both models offer water resistance up to 100 metres and are presented in dedicated packaging marked with TAG Heuer Formula 1 Limited Edition writing inside.

The Dutch Grand Prix will take place from August 21 to 23, 2026, marking Zandvoort’s final appearance on the Formula 1 calendar. With the circuit’s contract set to end after the 2026 season, these two Solargraph editions offer a fitting tribute to its place in TAG Heuer’s motorsport history.
