Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become an increasingly important aspect for companies across various industries, including luxury watchmaking. CSR involves integration of social, environmental, and ethical concerns into a company's business operations and interactions with stakeholders. Many luxury watchmakers recognise the significance of CSR in building a positive brand image, fostering sustainability and contributing to the well-being of communities. Breitling is one of the brands that are keen to empower communities with unique initiatives. It has now announced its partnership with Amani Institute, a global nonprofit organisation. Through their collaboration for the Diamond Impact Fund, Breitling and Amani Institute are working together to empower social impact leaders in Gujarat. To support education and skill development projects, the Fund seeks to create better opportunities for individuals.
As one of the leading global social enterprises supporting entrepreneurs and nonprofits around the world, especially in the Global South, Amani Institute will be helping Breitling with their efforts to engage local leaders in Gujarat. This initiative is aimed at founders and senior leaders of nonprofits and social enterprises in Gujarat, who are seeking comprehensive learning and development programmes that address their specific leadership and management learning needs, while enhancing personal and professional growth. Interested candidates can enrol in a five-month programme that will start in January 2024.
Says Aurelia Figueroa, Global Director, Sustainability, Breitling, “Gujarat is a vibrant hub of entrepreneurship. Breitling’s lab-grown diamonds originate from selected suppliers in this region. As part of our commitment to social and environmental impact along our value chain, we are delighted to partner up with Amani Institute to leverage their extensive expertise in social entrepreneurship, especially in India.”
Varun Mukerji, Director, Amani Institute, adds, “A partnership with a distinguished brand like Breitling significantly enhances our social impact endeavours in India. We aim to train over 40 leaders of nonprofits and social enterprises in the first year of this collaboration, focusing on women’s economic empowerment and fostering a resilient ecosystem in the region.” He adds, “In the long term, this partnership aligns with our shared values and promises to catalyse transformative change across India and South Asia.”
Amani Institute is committed to a dedicated service for people and organisations to nurture and expand their teams, driving positive change and sustainable growth in respective communities.
