Cartier’s New Delhi Boutique Sports a New Look: India’s Rich Heritage in Focus
The Cartier boutique at DLF Emporio has been relaunched with a stunning new look. With custom pieces inspired by India’s rich heritage decorating the store, the boutique itself is a work of art. Last week, GMT India was invited to the relaunch over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. One couldn’t help but marvel at the latest collections from the Maison — in fact, a whole new world of bejewelled beauties awaits you as you step into Cartier’s New Delhi boutique.
Indeed, the craftsmanship is quite impressive. An inverted lotus-shaped chandelier hangs from the ceiling, paying homage to the flower’s significance for India. The backdrop has custom paintings that represent India’s architectural heritage. One of the paintings depicts the Cartier panther with India’s resplendent monuments in the background. Another shows two beautiful peacocks sitting on a branch.
The VIP room in the boutique is a doorway to discovering new layers to the Maison’s artistic finesse. To honour India’s rich history with the brand, a painting displays a beautiful bespoke Cartier necklace made for Indian royalty.
A dreamscape for watch lovers – the boutique offers the latest collections of Cartier’s iconic watches, such as the Cartier Tank, Pasha and Santos. The watches shine brightly against a red-and-green, forest-like backdrop.
At the relaunch event, guests lined up to get live hand-painted portraits created by artist and illustrator Julia Mavlyanova. Cartier’s New Delhi boutique is a veritable wonderland where the Maison’s craftsmanship truly comes to life.
