Edge by Titan Returns with Ceramic Fumage, Blending Smoke, Flame, and Artistry

In the language of modern watchmaking, restraint is power. And with Titan Edge Fumage, restraint finds a new expression in a smoky yet fluid setting. Defined by new geometry, a redesigned ceramic bracelet, and a mesmerising fumé dial, Fumage draws its name from the surrealist art technique that uses smoke and candle soot to create form without outline. Here, that idea translates into horology. Controlled chaos. Movement held in check.
Encased in a sleek 42mm profile, Fumage marks the introduction of a new ceramic shape to the Edge portfolio after three years. More than a refresh, it signals intent. A material shift towards a slimmer, more durable architecture paired with a hand-finished gradient dial that feels alive under light.
Slim. Modernist. Assured.

The new case architecture flows seamlessly into an integrated ceramic bracelet, reworking Edge’s glossy silhouette without compromising its signature lightness. On the wrist, it feels like wearing smoked alchemy. The satin-finished bezel, polished bevels, and vertically satin-brushed ceramic links create a disciplined play of light. It emerges refined yet robust. Ceramic here dons a structural role.
At its core lies the fumé dial. A study in depth and shadow. Darkened edges dissolve into a lighter centre, echoing the suspended drift of smoke in air. Each dial is hand-sprayed in progressive layers of lacquer, building tonal complexity before being sealed under a high-gloss finish. The effect is immersive, almost cinematic as time appears to emerge and not sit still. Diamond-cut sword hands slice through this haze with clarity offering legibility without excess.
Powering the watch is the in-house T 9081 Edge calibre, a movement that upholds Edge’s reputation for ultra-slim mechanical mastery while maintaining everyday reliability. Water resistance is rated at 3 ATM, just sufficient for modern, urban wear.

Controlled Chaos
The specifications underline its finesse: a case measuring 39.00 x 42.30 mm, an astonishing thickness of just 5.05 mm, Grade A ceramic for both case and bezel, a circular satin bezel finish, and sapphire crystal protection. Fumage arrives at a moment when design takes centre stage. This is Edge evolving — not by dilution, but by experimentation. The watch remains recognisably Edge: minimal, disciplined, sharply resolved. Yet there is tension now. A pulse. A sense of movement beneath the surface.
Commenting on the new launch, Kalpana Rangamani, CSMO, Titan Premium & Luxury Watches, said, “With Fumage, we’re widening the footprint of Edge in the premium category. The new structure, the introduction of the ceramic case and the fumé dial give Edge a distinct visual language and a stronger competitive edge in a space that’s becoming increasingly design-led.” She added, “This isn’t just a new launch ― it’s the start of the next chapter for Edge that can claim stakes in design and a strong material story both at the same time.”

Priced at INR 52,995 and available in black and blue variants, Edge Fumage makes a compelling case for design-led horology that doesn’t shout but lingers, like smoke.
