Panerai’s Luminor Due Universe Gets Two New Additions

At the recently concluded Watches and Wonders Shanghai, Panerai revealed the latest additions to its Luminor Due universe: Luminor Due PAM01423 and Luminor Due Luna TuttOro PAM01504. Lighter and slimmer, the two models stay true to the Luminor Due’s distinguishing features — the crown-protecting bridge and the distinct cushion-shaped case — while serving as a solid testament to Panerai’s heritage.

The yellow gold pairs harmoniously with the green, lending the watch a refined edge

Set in a 42 mm case, this timepiece introduces the precious yellow gold to the Luminor Due line. When paired with the green alligator strap with scale ridges in a darker shade, the watch exudes an easy contemporary elegance. The green sun-brushed dial has a lighter centre that transitions to a darker gradient at the edges. The date display is positioned at 3 o’clock and the small second hand is located at 9 o’clock with white Super-LumiNova® indices that glow green in the dark. Via the open caseback, the wearer can admire the automatic P.900 calibre that offers a three-day power reserve. The water resistance is 50 metres.

The case and the bracelet are both crafted from GoldtechTM

The Maison’s first moon phase model with a Panerai GoldtechTM (a distinct alloy enriched with platinum and copper that lends the metal a deep, rich red tone) bracelet, this 38 mm model has an understated elegance that instantly stands out. Inspired by the patented Panerai crown-protection device, each link of the bracelet sports the semi-oval profile of the safety-lock system. The curved links that alternate between polished and brushed finishes add a refined finesse that aligns with the ethos of the Luminor Due collection. The case is also crafted from GoldtechTM. The centrepiece of the mother-of-pearl dial is the moon phase complication, with the model’s name itself paying homage to ‘luna’, the Italian word for moon. Positioned at 3 o’clock, a rotating disc presents a moon set against a blue, starry sky. The white Super-LumiNova® coating on the applied numerals and indices complements the lustrous finish of the GoldtechTM bracelet. The timepiece is powered by the automatic P.900/MP calibre, with a three-day power reserve.

A series of quick-release rubber straps are available for both models. Available in six colours – black, white, military green, dark blue, and red (for both 38 mm and 42 mm sizes), and pink (only for the 38 mm case) – the straps feature the PAM Click Release System. Their minimalistic aesthetic lends itself well to the clean, modern look of the new models.

Both watches will be available exclusively at Panerai’s boutiques.
