TimeVallée Opens its Second Boutique in India

After winning hearts in Mumbai, Swiss luxury multi-brand watch retail concept TimeVallée has opened a brand new boutique in Bengaluru. Its expansion in the Indian market is in collaboration with Art of Time, a well-known name in the realm of luxury watch retail in the country.

The Bengaluru boutique at Lavelle Road was inaugurated by TimeVallée CEO Michael Guenoun along with Patrick Müller, Deputy Consul General of Switzerland in Bengaluru, and Art of Time Co-founders Gaurav Bhatia and Bharat Kapoor.

Exquisite Collection

Offering watch enthusiasts an immersive journey into the world of horology, the new space showcases an exquisite selection of timepieces from brands such as Baume & Mercier, Bvlgari, Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, and Zenith. The boutique is designed to provide a unique and personalised experience, as per the team behind the venture.

Stressing the importance of this expansion in India, Michael Guenoun, CEO of TimeVallée, shared, "India holds immense significance in TimeVallée's expansion strategy. As a country with a rich heritage and a growing appreciation for luxury craftsmanship, India presents a compelling opportunity for TimeVallée to establish its presence and cater to the discerning tastes of Indian lifelong watch enthusiasts and newcomers who want to explore, learn, and experience the fascinating world of luxury watches.”

He added, “Our vision is to disrupt traditional luxury watch retailing. We preserve hundreds of years of watchmaking knowledge fused with cutting-edge experiential innovation.”

Not Just Another Retail Concept

According to Guenoun, the just-opened Bengaluru boutique is more than just another retail venture for TimeVallée. “Each TimeVallée is different with different elements, assortment of brands, etc. We are focused on the experience of taking Swiss watchmaking closer to clients,” he explained. “Our purpose is to promote the watch industry to a wider audience.” In fact, the team will be regularly launching products and hosting events for watch enthusiasts by partnering with other industries.

Talking about the strategic steps the brand took before the launch, Guenoun added, “We always had a plan to develop in India as it is a very important market for us; our plan was to understand our clientele here first. That’s why we started with an online partnership with TataCliQ last year and and then based on the strong success of that first step, we have decided to accelerate the second step – physical stores. We are very happy with the development of the watch industry in India.”

Open to Ideas

Building relationships with the watch community seems to be of utmost importance for TimeVallée. Guenoun recollected  a heartwarming story in this regard. "A client once brought her daughter for a Christmas party at TimeVallée Switzerland. Commenting on the Christmas tree, the daughter asked why we didn’t decorate it with watch ornaments. We thought that was a creative idea and invited her to design our next Christmas tree. Being very talented, she did a beautiful drawing envisioning the tree. Now, we are going to have that tree for our next Christmas,” he shared.

The partnership between Art of Time and TimeVallée not only reinforces the brand’s global presence but also aims to set new standards for luxury watch retail in India. 

Expressing their excitement about the partnership with TimeVallée, Gaurav Bhatia and Bharat Kapoor, Co-founders and Directors of Art of Time, emphasised that the collaboration seamlessly aligned with their commitment to providing watch aficionados across India with access to the world's most prestigious and exceptional timepieces.

With the new ventures, TimeVallée aims to shape the future of luxury watch retail in India and beyond.

Guenoun shared, “What is important is to ensure that we keep innovating, ensuring that we stay relevant to the next generation. And while being innovative, we need to ensure that we keep the fundamentals of quality and authenticity intact. That is critically important. The reason why we are so successful today is that we adhere to those values.”
