When Gold Meets Glory: Hublot Shines with Hollywood’s Icons at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards

The red carpet has never belonged to just one star, a truth that held firm until September 14, when beneath the lights of Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, unmistakable glints of Hublot emerged. As Hollywood’s most decorated names gathered for the 2026 Emmy Awards, it was Hublot once again that stood watch on the wrists of the evening’s defining stories, its King Gold and ceramic catching the flash of every camera, as triumph after triumph unfolded.

The timepieces of triumph to the glory

Matthew Rhys strode into evening as a contender and departed as a phenomenon, becoming the first performer to claim Outstanding Lead Actor honours in two distinct categories within a single ceremony ― for The Beast in Me and Widow's Bay. Anchoring this feat was the Hublot Classic Fusion 3-Hands King Gold Pavé 38mm, its polished case and pavé-set brilliance lending quiet authority to a night that demanded exactly that.

Gerran Howell made his appearance carrying a breakout year; his portrayal of Dr Dennis Whitaker in The Pitt earned him a first Primetime Emmy nomination. On his wrist was the Classic Fusion Chronograph King Gold 42mm, its lustrous case striking a deliberate counterpoint to the precision of his tailoring.

Tyler James Williams, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary, chose a study in contrast: the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Moonphase Black Magic 42mm. Its black ceramic and celestial complication was an understated declaration of craft over spectacle.

Chris McDonald, honoured for HBO Max's Hacks, opted for sculptural ambition, fastening the Spirit of Big Bang King Gold 42mm to his wrist, its layered architecture supplying the evening's most assertive horological silhouette.

Fusion as philosophy

Since 1980, when a gold case first met a rubber strap and unsettled an industry, Hublot has treated convention as raw material. The Big Bang redefined the century’s idea of an icon; the Classic Fusion distilled restraint; the exceptional timepieces rewrote what horology is permitted to be all powered by Unico, Meca‑10 and tourbillon movements engineered in‑house.

From pitch side to podium, the Hublotista community carries this philosophy far beyond the dial. On Emmy night, it simply found its most luminous stage yet.
