The turning point came in 1942, when Maxime Crevoisier moved the Maison to Neuchâtel and built its reputation as one of Switzerland's foremost specialists in pocket watches. The Crevoisier family went on to steer the House through the rest of the twentieth century, and in 2001 handed it to Denis Bolzli, a change of hands that kept Aerowatch's thread of independent ownership unbroken. Four years later, the Bolzli family widened the brand's horizons with its first-ever wristwatch collection, and out of that expansion came the "1942".
