Bvlgari Reinvents Its Aluminium Chronograph in Refreshing Blue and White Shades

When we think of luxury watchmaking, aluminium isn’t the first material that comes to mind. But maybe it should. Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and effortlessly cool, the material offers a fresh alternative to usual elements like stainless steel and titanium. Bvlgari was ahead of the curve when it first embraced aluminium back in 1998 with its Aluminium collection. Fast-forward to 2025, and the Roman brand is once again leaning into this bold material choice with a refreshing twist. Meet the new Bvlgari Aluminium Chronograph in Blue (Ref. 104234) and White (Ref. 104235). These are crisp, summer-ready updates that blend Mediterranean cool with urban sportiness.

“This is the strangest life I’ve ever known…” Jim Morrison once sang in Waiting for the Sun, his voice echoing a restless search for light, freedom, and clarity. That same spirit seems to hum beneath the surface of Bvlgari’s latest Aluminium Chronograph novelties. With its breezy tones and featherlight build, each watch feels like a portal to that imagined place Morrison hinted at — a sun-drenched moment suspended between reality and reverie. It doesn’t just mark time, it invites escape.

Each of the new Bvlgari Aluminium Chronograph additions comes with a 41 mm aluminium case and a rubber bezel with the 14-letter BVLGARI BVLGARI engraving matching the respective colours. There are two chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock (DLC-coated black on the blue version), along with a sandblasted titanium crown at 3 o’clock.

The Blue model features a matte blue dial with a bold white 12 o’clock marker and white hour indices, ensuring high legibility. Its azure chronograph subdials add visual contrast, including a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a 60-second subdial at 3 o’clock. The blue brass hour and minute hands, filled with Super-LumiNova®, enhance readability in low light. The sandblasted rhodium-plated brass central chronograph hand is accented with a red-lacquered tip while the white lacquered brass chronograph counter hands maintain a crisp aesthetic.

Adding refinement, the three subdials feature a blue spiral finish, elevating their texture. Completing the design is a date window positioned at 4:30, subtly integrated into the dial for balance. Powering the watch is Calibre B381, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Turning the watch showcases the closed sandblasted and satin-finished titanium caseback with black DLC treatment. The model is finished on a blue rubber bracelet with a sandblasted aluminium link and pin buckle.

The next novelty in the lineup is a 400-piece limited-edition timepiece featuring a striking monochromatic white design and a highly functional chronograph. It boasts a 40 mm sandblasted aluminium case, paired with a white rubber bezel, engraved with "BVLGARI BVLGARI", and a sandblasted titanium crown positioned at 3 o’clock — a combination of materials that balances durability with modern aesthetics.

The white dial is complemented by white spiral-finish subdials, including a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and a 60-second subdial at 3 o’clock, with a date window subtly positioned at 4:30 for added functionality. The dial is further enhanced with rhodium-plated hour markers, an enlarged 12 o’clock numeral, and polished rhodium-plated brass hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring optimal legibility in low-light conditions.

The dial also features a polished rhodium-plated brass central seconds chronograph hand, accented with a red-lacquered tip, alongside polished rhodium-plated brass chronograph counter hands across all three subdials, ensuring precision and visual harmony. At its core, the timepiece is powered by the B 130 calibre, delivering a 42-hour power reserve for reliable performance. Turning the watch over reveals a closed sandblasted and satin-finished titanium caseback, adding a robust yet refined touch. The watch is paired with a white rubber bracelet, integrated with sandblasted aluminum links and a pin buckle, combining durability with sleek aesthetics.
