Hublot Unleashes a Raft of Extraordinary Models at Watches and Wonders 2024

BIG BANG UNICO ORANGE, & DARK GREEN CERAMIC

At the ongoing Watches and Wonders Geneva, Hublot has added two new references to its ceramic collection: Ref. 441.CU.5910.RX in Polished Orange Ceramic and Ref. 441.GX.5210.RX in Dark Green Ceramic, each limited to 250 pieces.

The models get a 42 mm case, downsized from the original 44 mm. They boast the signature ‘sandwich' construction, large pushers, a bezel with six visible unaligned and functional ‘H’-shaped titanium screws, guards for its two titanium chronograph pushers, and a skeleton dial. The watches get a black baseplate with grey column wheel for the date. Both watches get case colour-matching bezels and chapter rings with black numerals for the 60-minute markings. The same colour contrast can be found on the Arabic hour markers, the small seconds at 9 o'clock, and the 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock, with an integrated date window.

The watches are powered by MHUB1280, a self-winding chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Turning each watch over showcases the skeleton caseback with a tungsten oscillating weight. The watches are finished on black and orange or black and dark green structured lined rubber straps, with black ceramic and black-plated titanium deployant buckle clasps.

BIG BANG UNICO PINK SAPPHIRE

When it comes to mineral hardness, sapphire is second only to diamond as one of the hardest materials on Earth. It permits the least amount of distortion, which is particularly advantageous for timepieces with complex dial patterns or significant features like chronographs and date windows. This newly launched model comes in a 42 mm polished pink sapphire case with grey pushers and crown. The same pink colour can be found on the 60-minute track, Arabic numerals, hour, minute, and second hands, small seconds at 9 o'clock, and 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock, with an integrated date window.

This model is powered by MHUB1280, a self-winding, flyback movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Turning each watch over showcases the skeleton caseback with a tungsten oscillating weight. The watch is finished on a pink transparent structured lined rubber strap with a titanium deployant buckle clasp. This model is limited to 100 pieces.

SQUARE BIG BANG UNICO

Square-shaped watches combine form and function in a distinctive design, making them a unique and often elegant alternative to the more popular round watches. These watches range from refined mechanical timepieces to sleek and contemporary smartwatches. The new Ref. 821.MX.0130.RX is limited to 200 pieces and comes in a 42 mm polished 18 ct Magic Gold case, along with a bezel with six ‘H’-shaped titanium screws.

The sapphire crystal dial gets dual markings (double lines) for the hour markers, while Magic Gold can be found on the hour, minute, and chronograph second hands, the small seconds at 9 o'clock, and the 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock that gets an integrated date window. This model is powered by MHUB1280, a self-winding, flyback movement with 72 hours of power reserve. Turning the watch over showcases the skeleton caseback with a tungsten oscillating weight. The watch is finished on a black structured rubber strap with a black ceramic and black-plated titanium deployant buckle clasp. Another model that Hublot released in this category is the Ceramic Magic Gold (Ref. 821.CM.0130.RX) that gets a micro-blasted and polished black ceramic case.

BIG BANG MP-11 WATER BLUE SAPPHIRE

The ultimate in mechanical watchmaking involves timepieces with a 14-day power reserve, combining fine craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to produce a watch that can run for that long between windings. These watches usually have multiple barrels to store the energy required to power the mechanism for a fortnight. The new 50-piece Ref. 911.JL.0129.RX comes in a bold 45 mm polished water blue sapphire crystal case, along with a bezel with six ‘H’-shaped titanium screws. Needless to say, this timepiece gets seven barrels and a 14-day power reserve.

There is a  90° transmission, which uses a helical worm gear. The wheel is clearly visible at 10:30. The balance wheel is placed opposite at 2 o'clock, with its rate at 4 o'clock. Powering the watch is Calibre HUB9011 with ruthenium anthracite bridges and balance wheel. The caseback is crafted from polished water blue sapphire crystal. The watch is finished on a Water Blue Transparent Lined Structured rubber strap with a titanium deployant buckle clasp.

BIG BANG INTEGRATED TIME-ONLY

Bracelets that are integrated seamlessly complement the watch casing, giving the whole design a polished appearance. Watches with built-in bracelets often provide the best comfort possible as the weight is distributed more evenly. With a monochromatic aesthetic, the timepiece maker has released two new references with integrated bracelets: Ref. 457.EX.7170.EX with a blue ceramic case and Ref. 457.CX.1270.CX housed in a Black Magic case. Both are time-and-date watches, with a window at 3 o’clock and a polished black or satin-finished blue sunray dial. The dial gets six Arabic hour markers.

Powering the watch is Calibre MHUB1115, a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve. Turning each watch over showcases the sapphire caseback with a tungsten openwork rotor. The watches are finished on satin-finished and polished black or blue ceramic bracelets, each with a titanium deployant buckle clasp.

Other novelties in the lineup include Ref. 457.NX.1270.NX in titanium and Ref. 457.OX.1280.OX in King Gold; both these variations come with polished black dials. Then there are Ref. 457.NX.7170.NX in titanium blue and Ref. 457.OX.7180.OX in King Gold blue; these boast satin-finished blue sunray dials.

SPIRIT OF BIG BANG SANG BLEU

Hublot’s association with London-based tattoo studio Sang Bleu and its founder, Maxime Plescia-Buchi, started in 2016, when the Swiss timepiece maker decided to incorporate geometric patterns into its Big Bang series. Hublot has now added three new references to the collection. Ref. 648.JX.0102.RT.MXM24 has a polished sapphire crystal and is limited to only 100 pieces; Ref. 648.WX.9010.RX.9904.MXM24 is crafted from white gold; and Ref. 648.OX.9010.RX.9904.MXM24 is made of King Gold. The last two references also come with 243 baguette-cut diamonds. The 42 mm watches get the signature tonneau-shaped cases, and hexagons, rhombuses, and triangles across the dials and the cases. All three references get a calendar display at 4:30.

Under the triangular hands of each watch, wearers will find the skeleton dial and the self-winding HUB4700 chronograph movement, also visible through the transparent caseback, with a tungsten rotor. The power reserve amounts to 50 hours. The sapphire crystal model is finished on a white transparent smooth rubber strap with a titanium deployant buckle clasp; the white gold model is finished on an 18 ct white gold and black-plated titanium strap with a deployant buckle clasp; and the King Gold model is finished on a King Gold and black-plated titanium strap with a deployant buckle clasp, set with 51 baguette-cut diamonds.

BIG BANG e UEFA EURO 2024™

Less than 100 days remain until the start of UEFA EURO 2024, the 17th edition of the tournament, scheduled to take place in Germany between 14 June and 14 July. In the runup, Hublot has made a grand announcement with its connected watch series – Big Bang e UEFA EURO 2024™ (Ref.450.NX.1100.RX.EUR24). Limited to just 100 pieces, the 44 mm satin-finished and polished titanium watch gets a black-plated titanium and rubber insert crown at 3 o’clock, a  black-plated titanium pusher at 8 o’clock, and a 1.39” AMOLED screen.

The watch keeps track of the whole game, all the way to the end result. The user can use the "replay" mode and scroll with the crown to relive any important moments, if they were missed. The new timepiece uses OS 3.0 by GoogleTM and is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 4100+ processor, with GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC Payment and other connectivity modes. This timepiece is finished on a black and sky blue lined rubber strap with a black composite deployant buckle clasp. There are additional black, black-and-red, black-and-yellow or black-and-green lined rubber straps.

SPIRIT OF BIG BANG TOURBILLON 5-DAY POWER RESERVE

In the watch business, carbon fibre has grown in popularity due to its special combination of qualities that satisfy both functional and aesthetic needs. The new timepiece Ref. 645.QO.4710.RX has a 42 mm carbon fibre with orange micro-glass fibre case and a bezel with six ‘H’-shaped titanium screws. The sapphire crystal dial has an off-centred dial with black numeral minute marking, rather than traditional hour markers, with only hour and minute hands; the tourbillon sits at 6 o’clock and the power reserve indicator is placed at 8 o’clock. Powering the watch is Calibre MHUB6020 with anthracite grey-plated bridges. The watch is finished on a black and orange structured lined rubber strap with a black ceramic and black-plated titanium deployant buckle clasp.

BIG BANG UNICO ICE BANG

For its online-exclusive platform, Hublot has released a new Big Bang UNICO Ice Bang piece, Ref. 441.CK.1140.NR.HEC24, limited to only 100 pieces. This 42 mm micro-blasted and polished black ceramic watch gets a satin-finished and polished tungsten bezel, a crown at 3 o’clock with a black rubber, and two pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. The dial gets a black chapter ring and grey numerals for its minute track on the outer periphery of the dial and a black baseplate with a grey column wheel for the date. The same colour combination of black and grey can be found on the Arabic hour markers, the small seconds at 9 o'clock, and the 60-minute counter at 3 o'clock with an integrated date window.

The watches are powered by MHUB1280, a self-winding chronograph UNICO 2 Manufacture movement with a 72-hour power reserve. Turning each watch over showcases the skeleton caseback with a tungsten oscillating weight. Furthermore, each watch is finished on a black fabric with velcro or black ceramic buckle strap, with an additional black lined rubber strap sporting a black ceramic and black-plated titanium deployant buckle clasp.
