Audemars Piguet was founded in the heart of Switzerland's watchmaking region, La Vallée de Joux, in 1875. Friends Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet established the brand. In 1970, the Maison approached designer Gerald Genta for a watch that would become the brand's most iconic piece to date: The Royal Oak, inspired by a vintage diving helmet attached to the rest of the suit with screws. The model was sketched overnight. The Royal Oak was the first luxury sports watch that was made of steel. Indeed, the Royal Oak has proved to be revolutionary in every sense of the term.

He was seen wearing CARTIER SANTOS 100, REF. W200728G.

Cartier is a French luxury goods conglomerate that designs, manufactures, distributes and sells jewellery, leather goods and watches. Founded by Louis-François Cartier (1819-1904) in Paris in 1847, the company remained under family control till 1964. Headquartered in Paris, the company is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont group.

In 1904, Louis Cartier was looking after the Paris branch of Cartier. Brazilian aviation pioneer Albert Santos-Dumont was his close friend. Santos-Dumont would frequently conduct field tests on his planes to usher in innovation in the world of aviation. While he carried out the tests, he would use his pocket watch to keep time. He would complain to his friend, Louis Cartier, that frequently checking time on his pocket watch while flying was highly inconvenient. In response, Cartier designed a watch with a leather strap that could be worn around the wrist. Thus, the wristwatch was born. Cartier provided this watch with a unique square bezel as well. Santos-Dumont was beyond pleased with the innovation, sporting it every time he flew. Since Santos-Dumont was a prominent personality in those days, others wanted to emulate his style and this led to a high demand for the same watch. And thus Cartier started mass producing his creation.

The reference in question has an 18 ct yellow gold and stainless steel case and a stainless steel bracelet with 18 ct yellow gold screws. The 18 ct fixed bezel is in yellow gold too. The silver opaline dial has luminous sword-shaped black oxidised steel hands and Roman numeral hour markers. You can see the minute markers around an inner ring. Powered by an automatic movement, the watch has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a steel octagonal crown, set with a faceted spinel, and a stainless steel caseback. The 38 mm case is 11 mm thick. Sporting a deployment clasp, the timepiece offers 100-metre water resistance.

Jacob & Co. is an American, privately held jewellery and wristwatch retailer, established in 1986 by diamond designer Jacob Arabo. The Epic X Black Titanium watch signifies the evolution of one of the most traditional forms of watchmaking into a modern version. The openworked or skeletonised timepiece allows the movement to be visible both from the dial and the back of the watch, with as much metal eliminated as possible while keeping the functionality intact. The chief objective of an openworked watch is to achieve the highest level of transparency, lightness and structural integrity.

The watch in question has a 44 mm case that is 12.3 mm thick. Black DLC titanium is the main material used while the inner ring is made of black neoralithe. The sapphire crystal  has been given anti-reflective treatment. The watch is run by the exclusive manually wound skeleton Jacob & Co. Salman Khan

Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. He is a film producer and television personality as well.

The actor was seen wearing ROLEX DAY DATE, REF: 1803 (a Stella Turquoise dial watch).

Originally launched in the 1970s, the Stella model and its vibrant colours didn’t really impress Rolex buyers. Conservative Day-Date dials in white, black and silver were preferred instead. The watches’ colourful lacquered dials were manufactured by a company called Stella, based in Châtelaine and Geneva. Rolex destroyed several Stella pieces because these failed to attract buyers. The Stella model with its 18 ct gold and yellow lacquered dial is, therefore, regarded as a rare piece. Stella has now become popular among vintage watch collectors. Furthermore, it is considered a role model for newer Rolex watches with coloured dials.

The 36 mm watch in question is crafted in yellow gold. Powered by the automatic caliber 1556, comprising 27 jewels, the watch has a date display at 3 o'clock. The functions include day, date, seconds, hour and minutes. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops magnifier is set with two baguette-cut and eight round, brilliant-cut diamond hour markers. The diamond-set bezel is also in 18 ct yellow gold. The watch is finished on a Rolex President bracelet, crafted in 18 ct yellow gold and sporting a Rolex concealed folding clasp. Water resistance is 100 metres.
