Introducing the New Four-Faced Byrne GyroDial Watch

Die hard fans of The Dark Knight must remember Harvey Dent, who used to be a good person and believed in justice. He was also a part of the trio that included Commissioner Gordon and Batman. Then one incident made him Two Face. But what if I tell you about a watch that doesn’t have one, two or three, but FOUR faces? Meet the new 23-piece limited-edition Byrne GyroDial that lets you change the look of its dial four times.

Which dial style do you prefer? Well, you can also let the watch decide. At midnight or noon every day or as per the preference of the wearer, the dials (showing hour markers 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock) rotate to change from Hindu-Arabic, Roman, Arabic numerals to ‘phantom’ ones or a different face. The 41 mm, grade 5 titanium watch gets sleek lines while the sapphire crystal sits on top of the circular bezel. The lugs extend from the centre caseband and come with a knurled crown at 3 o’clock.

The petroleum green dial is the hero of the watch, accentuated by grain brush finishing by hand and rhodium treatment with turquoise reflections. The outer periphery of the watch has hollowed dots for the minutes, along with a dot filled with white Super-LumiNova® at every five-minute interval. The hours are indicated by bar and cube-shaped markers, which revolve at noon or midnight. The hands are sword-like and match the dial in colour; these are finished with an outline to add a touch of contrast.

The new Bryne GyroDial variant is run by the self-winding, automatic Calibre 5555 made with Le Temps Manufacture; it has 60 hours of power reserve. Each cube in the movement is connected to a central gear by a small upright wheel and all make an instant jump. The animation can also be triggered on demand through the crown. This has been placed between the main running gear of the movement and the dial.
