The Art of Hand Lettering with Montblanc: A Celebration of Craftsmanship and Legacy

On March 21, 2024, GMT India took part in an exclusive event, "The Art of Handwriting - A Session on Hand Lettering with Maestro Prof. K.C. Janardhan,", organised at the Executive Board Room of Bangalore’s Hotel Conrad. The event provided attendees with a unique opportunity to engage in the fine art of hand lettering, accompanied by the prestigious Montblanc Meisterstück. Celebrating a century of Meisterstück's legacy, Montblanc paid homage to its timeless narrative by reimagining its collection of writing instruments and leather goods, while remaining faithful to its classical design ethos.

Guided by Prof. K.C. Janardhan, the session delved deep into the intricate world of hand lettering, with the help of the prestigious Montblanc Meisterstück.

Synonymous with unparalleled craftsmanship and design excellence, Montblanc has continuously pushed the boundaries of innovation since revolutionising the culture of writing in 1906. Ingenuity and imagination remain the driving forces behind the Maison's enduring commitment to excellence across various product categories, including writing instruments, watches, and leather goods.

Following the hand lettering session, a boutique reception at Indian Durbar helped attendees explore Montblanc's Great Characters collector line. The Montblanc Great Characters Muhammad Ali™ Collection pays homage to the legend’s remarkable legacy as a sports icon and civil rights advocate.

CEO and Managing Director of Montblanc India Neeraj Walia explained to each guest the inspiration behind the pens and their significance. Engaging in a discussion with team GMT India, Walia highlighted the enduring relevance of writing, particularly in the context of journaling, which resonates deeply with the younger generation. Recognising the intrinsic passion for writing among youths, Montblanc remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing and respecting this enthusiasm.
