Titan Introduces Jalsa: A Second Flying Tourbillon in the Revered Nebula Line

The Pink City has emerged as a canvas for horology’s finest expression, as demonstrated by the launch of Jalsa — the new marquee piece in Titan’s Nebula line. As the name suggests, Jalsa is indeed ‘a grand celebration’ of horological excellence. The timepiece — Titan’s official entrant to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2025 — was unveiled during an evening of regal festivity in Jaipur, marking India’s rich heritage, historic storytelling, and the brand’s peaking aspirations. With this launch, Titan has set its intent right — asserting its place among icons of watchmaking, with a clear ambition to be known for its horological mastery and timeless craftsmanship.
Featuring a breathtakingly rare flying tourbillon in the shape of Titan’s logo, Nebula, the 18K gold watchmaking house, has forged a daring new path in the realm of Indian luxury. Crafted to honour 225 years of Hawa Mahal and marking India’s boldest foray yet into global haute horlogerie, Jalsa is not just a watch — it is a proclamation of culture, of craft, of the quiet and powerful grandeur that India, as a country, carries within.

Regal Symbolism
Encased in 18K rose gold and set with a luminous red agate, Jalsa gleams with symbolic intensity. But its exquisite craft stands out within the in-house flying tourbillon movement, made of 144 precision parts and 14 jewels. The movement is crowned with architectural bridges inlaid with red agate and a poetic sapphire magnifier counterpoise on the minute hand — a masterstroke of design that reimagines time as not just a measure, but a feeling. With each passing minute, the magnifier moves in quiet harmony over the dial, unveiling the nuances of a painting on the watch face and offering a moment of true immersion in time — a rare pause in our hyperconnected world. On the reverse side, visible through a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback, is the intricate tourbillon movement which is more than just functional — it is performative, sculptural, and sublime.

This timepiece embodies a singular vision: to shape the soul of India through craftsmanship, celebrating a legacy etched not just in palaces, but in its people as well. This vision is brought to life by a hand-painted marble dial — a singular piece of miniature artistry envisioned by Padma Shri Shakir Ali, India’s celebrated miniature painter. Using natural gemstone pigments and elements rooted in Indian culture, such as sindoor and haldi (turmeric), the dial depicts a royal procession featuring Maharana Pratap Singh and his grandson Maharaja Jai Singh in front of Hawa Mahal. Crafted over three years with painstaking attention, each brushstroke romanticises Jaipur’s grandeur and India’s rich heritage.

Weighing a stately 68 grams, Jalsa carries the regal weight of India’s aspirational legacy — not merely in grams, but in meaning as well. Priced at ₹40,50,000, this horological masterpiece is limited to just 10 individually numbered pieces, each one a testament to rarity and refinement. No two timepieces are the same — each dial is meticulously hand-painted by Ali, capturing nuanced artistic expressions that make every watch a singular creation. Enhancing its distinctiveness is a supple brown-tan bracelet, seamlessly connected to the case through gracefully hollowed lugs, an avant-gardist design choice that blends engineering ingenuity with elevated aesthetics.

It signals not only Titan’s ascension, but also India’s arrival as a force in global fine watchmaking.

Titan has long embodied the spirit of Indian innovation and design, and with Jalsa, it carries that legacy on to the global stage.” She added, “The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève entry is not just a proud moment for the brand, but for India as well — a testament to the world-class artistry rooted in our culture.”
Jalsa not only showcases Titan’s prowess in crafting bespoke high-end timepieces, but also signals a bold future of in-house innovations.
