Fab Five: The Five Luxe Watch Partnerships Driving F1 Style

High-performance playthings are more than just mere gadgets — they are symbols of status, precision, and passion. Nowhere is this more evident than in the fast-paced, adrenaline-fuelled world of Formula 1 (F1), where speed meets sophistication and engineering brilliance translates into style statements on and off the track.

At the intersection of this high-octane universe lies an electrifying synergy: five standout watch partnerships that are redefining F1 style. These collaborations don’t just track time — they tell stories of innovation, heritage, and bold ambition, perfectly encapsulating the thrill of the race and the elegance of fine watchmaking. As engines roar and circuits challenge limits, these watches serve as the ultimate trophies for those who appreciate the art of precision in motion.

Let’s explore the five luxe watch partnerships driving the irresistible fusion of speed, style, and substance in the world of F1.

IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph APXGP

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph APXGP (Ref. IW378009) features a stainless steel case with a diameter of 43 millimetres. The chronograph is dedicated to the ‘APXGP’ team, as depicted in the upcoming Brad Pitt-starrer, F1. The design hues are in black, gold, and white, a reference to the team’s colours.

The  black dial is printed with white Arabic numerals and golden minute markers. The minute and hour hands, and the hands on the subdials — 12 o’clock has the 30-minute subdial, 6 o'clock has the 60-second subdial, and the 12 hour subdial is placed at 12 o’clock — are gold-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova®. This model also has two separate day-date windows at 3 o’clock.

The chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 69385, with the movement’s bidirectional pawl winding system reliably building up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring. Turning the watch showcases the tinted sapphire caseback featuring the ‘APXGP’ team logo printed in gold. The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap featuring a special laser engraving to commemorate the team. The durable and waterproof straps feature IWC’s EasX-CHANGE® system, enabling the wearer to change them at the touch of a button without any tools.

TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph | F1®

The model comes in a 41 mm white ceramic case, accompanied by fine-brushed polished white ceramic shaped chronograph push-buttons at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock, a split-seconds push-button protector at 8 o’clock, and a split-seconds push-button with a red lacquered titanium tube at 9 o’clock. The red-tinted translucent dial has a black grained minute chronograph counter; a red lacquered hand at 3 o’clock; a rhodium-plated sandblasted ring permanent second indicator at 6 o’clock; a black grained hour chronograph counter; and a red lacquered hand at 9 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the 5 Hz Calibre TH81-00 with a power reserve of 65 hours (chrono off)/55 hours (chrono on). Turning the watch showcases the open caseback crafted from a single piece of sapphire crystal. The watch is finished on a white calfskin strap, with textile embossing and red hand stitching, a grade 5 titanium butterfly folding clasp, safety push-buttons with fine adjustment, and a grade 5 titanium pin buckle.

Tudor Black Bay Chrono ‘Carbon 25’

The 42 mm Tudor Black Bay Chrono watch features a fixed bezel with a tachymetric scale in the same material. A PVD-finished screw-down winding crown with the Tudor rose in relief sits at 3 o'clock while PVD-finished titanium screw-down pushers are at 2 and 4 o'clock. The domed 'racing white' dial is inspired by the 2025 Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One vehicle, with a contrasting carbon fibre chronograph 45-minute counter at 3 o'clock and tiny seconds at 9 o'clock.

The watch features signature Snowflake hands outlined in black with the Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminous material, a red-arrowed chronograph central second hand, and a date window at 6 o'clock. Furthermore, the model features eight round hour markers and an inverted triangle at 12 o'clock. Blue accents appear on the emblems and the minute track. The COSC-certified Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813, which drives the Black Bay Chrono model, has a power reserve of 70 hours and a silicon balance spring. The tungsten rotor is monobloc, openwork, and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details while the bridges and mainplate alternate between sand-blasted and polished surfaces with laser ornamentation. Turning the watch reveals the closed caseback in titanium with PVD finish, with an etching of an F1 car viewed from the top and the individual watch number out of 2025. The watch is finished with a hybrid leather-rubber strap with a ‘tyre pattern’.

H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition

This 42.3 mm stainless steel watch has a blue PVD treatment, two chronograph push-buttons at 10 and 2 o’clock, and a screw-in crown at 4 o’clock, decorated with an engraved ‘M’, accompanied by a white rubber ring. The skeletonisation of this model takes its inspiration from the racetrack. Two of the bridges visible through the dial are V-shaped — a nod to the triangulated suspensions of single-seaters.

The movement’s central bridge is shaped like a driver’s helmet. Positioned on the dial side, the skeleton rotor replicates an Alpine A110 wheel rim. The blue hour and minute hands have Globolight® inserts. This chronograph features a central minute and seconds display, with no subdials. It is equipped with the flyback function, which enables the chronograph to be restarted instantaneously. The HMC 700 skeleton calibre is finished in a contemporary anthracite, offering a 72-hour power reserve. Turning the watch showcases the see-though caseback. The watch is finished on an integrated white rubber strap, sporting a steel pin buckle with blue PVD treatment, engraved with the Moser logo.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Aston Martin F1® Edition

With a crown at 3 o'clock, this model is housed in a 44 mm case made of grade 5 titanium. The dial in an Aston Martin Green colour is skeletonised and grey PVD-treated. It features lime green lacquered-tip baton-style hour and minute hands with luminescent material (green emission), alongside a lime green central seconds hand. Partially openworked, these hands draw inspiration from the signature front grille design seen on the marque’s road cars, including the iconic DB12.

The date window at 6 o’clock also has the same lime green frame with a black background and a white numeral. Each hour marker is denoted with an applied index with luminescent treatment. Powering the watch is an in-house Manufacture movement, GP03300 calibre, a self-winding movement featuring an oscillating weight adorned with a circular Côtes de Genève motif. Additional movement refinements include straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges, bevelling, mirror-polished screws, circular graining on the main plate, and engraved gilded text, all executed to the company’s no-compromise standards. The movement offers a minimum power reserve of 46 hours. The watch is finished on a green rubber strap with a fabric effect, green stitches, and a titanium folding buckle with a micro adjustment system.
