LVMH Watch Week: Zenith Showcases New Variations of Chronomaster Sport and Chronomaster Triple Calendar Models

Launched in 2021, the Chronomaster Sport typically features a clean, elegant design that is both modern and reminiscent of Zenith's rich watchmaking heritage. The model often includes a ceramic bezel, which adds to its durability and aesthetic appeal. One of the most notable aspects of the Chronomaster Sport is its use of the El Primero movement, a pioneering chronograph movement first introduced by Zenith in 1969.

It's raining Chronomasters in Miami now as Zenith has introduced three new references to Chronomaster Sport and six new references to Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar at the ongoing LVMH Watch Week 2024.

CHRONOMASTER SPORT

Meteorite dials are a unique and luxurious feature found in some high-end watches. This new 41 mm 18 ct rose gold (Ref. 22.3100.3600/69.M3100) Zenith Chronomaster Sport gets a rose gold case, lugs, crown, and two chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. The bezel is set with baguette-cut white diamonds, black spinels, and grey as well as blue sapphires. The dial is crafted from a slab of meteorite, is hand-finished, and has a golden colour to showcase the Windmanstätten pattern.

The dial is further set with baguette-cut diamond hour markers and sports a blue 60-second counter at 3 o'clock, a grey 60-minute counter at 6 o'clock, and a silver small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, along with a date window with a golden background and black numeral at 4:30. This model comes with gold-plated, faceted hour, minute, and second hands, coated with SuperLumiNova. What’s more, this watch is finished on an 18 ct rose gold bracelet with a folding clasp.

CHRONOMASTER SPORT GREEN

Each of the other two models in the Zenith Chronomaster Sport collection gets a green lacquered dial and a green bezel. The collection looks similar to the Aaron Rodgers edition with minute differences. Each of the two 41 mm references gets a stainless steel case, lugs, crown, and two chronograph pushers at 2 o’clock, and 4 o’clock, accompanied by a green ceramic bezel with white numerals.

The hour markers, and the hour, minute, and second hands of the two references are rhodium-plated, faceted and coated with SuperLumiNova. The dial gets a blue 60-second counter at 3 o'clock, a grey 60-minute counter at 6 o'clock, and a silver small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, along with a date window with a green background and white numeral at 4:30. Ref. 03.3119.3600/56.M3100 is finished on a stainless steel bracelet while Ref. 03.3119.3600/56.R952 is finished on a green integrated rubber strap; both come with folding clasps. Powering the watches is El Primero 3600 with 60 hours of power reserve. Each of the sapphire display casebacks on both models reveals a blue column wheel and an open rotor, marked with the five-pointed star of Zenith.

CHRONOMASTER ORIGINAL TRIPLE CALENDAR

Zenith, a Le Locle-based manufacturer, has introduced six new references in this collection, showcasing the calendar complication alongside the high-frequency chronograph – a combination not seen in the brand’s catalogue for quite some time now. Inspired by the A386 from 1969, the Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar measures 38 mm and comes with a bezel-less case, and raised and domed sapphire crystal.

It is crafted in stainless steel and is revealed in three different dial colours. Ref. 03.3400.3610/38.C911 and Ref. 03.3400.3610/38.M3200 come with silver opaline dials with black-toned counters and are completed on black calfskin leather straps or stainless steel bracelets respectively. The next models are Ref. 03.3400.3610/39.C910 and Ref. 03.3400.3610/39.M3200 that come with slate grey-toned opaline dials and silver-toned counters; these are finished on blue calfskin leather straps or stainless steel bracelets respectively. Last but not least, Ref. 03.3400.3610/40.C912 and Ref. 03.3400.3610/40.M3200 flaunt olive green-toned sunray-patterned dials with silver-toned counters and are presented with green calfskin leather straps or stainless steel bracelets.

All models come with stainless steel lugs, crown, and two pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock. The outer periphery of the watches, the background of the date window at 10 o’clock, the month window at 2 o’clock, and the date window at 4:30 match the respective dial colour. While the grey- and green-dial models get white chapter rings, the white-dial variant has a black chapter ring.

Each of the six references comes with a small seconds at 9 o'clock, a 60-minute counter at 6 o'clock, and a 60-second counter at 3 o'clock. Inside the minute counter resides the moon phase indication. Also common to all models are the hour markers, and the hour, minute, and second hands that are gold-plated, faceted, and coated with SuperLumiNova. The latest Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar is powered by the El Primero 3610 automatic movement with a 5HZ frequency and a power reserve of about 60 hours. The sapphire display caseback on each of the models reveals a blue column wheel and an open rotor marked with the five-pointed star of Zenith.
