Horology Forum Returns for its 9th Edition at the Forthcoming Dubai Watch Week

The 9th edition of Horology Forum is all set to enthral visitors at the forthcoming Dubai Watch Week, scheduled to be held on 16-20 November at The Gate in DIFC. Formulated to encourage conversations that nurture creativity, champion innovation, and pay tribute to the artistry of watchmaking, Horology Forum will explore the ever-evolving landscape of the watch industry through six thought-provoking panels.

The panels that will touch upon a diverse range of topics include The Retailers’ Quickstep, which will address how the industry should strategise customer loyalty in a crowded timepiece market; New Kids on the Clock that will discuss how tradition and innovation can be balanced; and All for One, One for All that will examine the question of collaboration versus competition. Other panels include Unidentified Funding Object: Navigating Company Buy-Outs that will deliberate upon the challenges presented to independent brands in terms of retaining their authenticity; Spare Me: Is Aftersales an Afterthought? will be taking on questions of how AI and other developments may impact the longevity of after-sales services in the industry, such as watch service centres; and the Arabic panel, Family Business Never Sleeps, will talk about succession and family-run businesses in the industry in the UAE.

The forthcoming event will be held at The Gate, DIFC

In addition to the panels, Horology Forum will also have a debate segment to encourage diverse viewpoints on subjects such as what motivates collectors to amass rare timepieces, why customisation is often considered an offence in the industry, and if the pursuit of exclusivity and luxury is alienating a large customer base and shrinking the potential market. Dubai Watch Week seeks to encourage conversations centred on innovation, excellence, and creativity in the industry, and Horology Forum stays true to that spirit. GMT India will be keeping a close eye on further news of what else we can expect from the major watch event.
